My homemade chocolate joconde cake filled with espresso buttercream.
I made the espresso buttercream by replacing instant espresso with reduced Nespresso espresso shots.
Stroopwaffels from The Good Batch. The Good Batch is a Brooklyn-based bakery that specializes in this particular Dutch baked good. Fresh cookies without any preservatives.
If you never had one (it’s my first try really) it’s a chewy, barely sweet (in a very good way) cookie that has hints of cinnamon and filled with caramel. Go get order them if you’re not in NYC.

This subversive theme for Mr. Jacbos’ collection surrounds on “the irrational, inexplicable” desire for the LV handbag. To expand on this idea, he went on the kinky on the clothes and reportedly, 13 cm (a smidge more than 5 inches) high heel rubber boots; some models had handcuffs on with the re imagined version of the Lockit bag.
The big thing about this show are the super of supermodels walked (Naomi, Amber, and Carolyn). But the woman who stole the show was the closer, Ms. Kate Moss strutting in leather hot pants, fur jacket and theatrically smoking a cigarette. She retired from the runway since 2004, so many are asking is she back?
By the way, NSFW.

The idea Sarah Burton was thinking about for this collection is the Ice Queen. “Someone strong and noble and romantically powerful.”
Gorgeous and meticulously done like Mr. McQueen would have done it. I forever love this fashion house.

Monochromatic looks were subtly punctuated with single elements of white, building to an all-white outfit, and eventually with elements of amethyst or mallard, until Ackermann sent out looks colored in extraordinary tonal nuances such as layerings of teal green, forest green, kingfisher blue, and deep jade. I also love the sculptural shapes and cuts on the fabric.
